BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich

🍴 BBQ Pulled Pork Recipes 🐷

When it comes to the best pulled pork recipes, BBQ pulled pork is my favorite by far. However, this doesn’t mean I don’t like other pulled pork recipes including smoked pulled pork, slow cooker pulled pork, crockpot pulled pork, and so on.

The best thing about BBQ pulled pork is that you can turn it quickly into fabulous pulled pork sandwiches, which are so good that you will hardly stop devouring them after the second or third sandwich, even if you feel your stomach exploding!

I also love BBQ pulled pork because you can turn leftovers into sumptuous dishes including appetizer salads, stews, sandwiches, and more. Below is a culinary article I found on the net featuring not less than 18 leftover pulled pork recipes, so you have a large palette to choose from!

➡️ Cooking Pulled Pork Is A Breeze! 💨

As spring comes and the good weather allows me to spend more time outdoors, I am already thinking of preparing BBQ pulled pork to eat both as the main course, along with a fresh vegetable salad, and to turn it into delicious sandwiches at the grill party I enjoy with my friends.

Because BBQ pulled pork is very versatile, I intentionally prepare a larger quantity because I turn the leftovers into other dishes the next day so I can enjoy a tasty breakfast, lunch, and dinner, ready in just a few minutes.

If you ask, “so you don’t care about your health and you want to eat a lot of BBQ pulled pork,” my answer is that pork is not as unhealthy as you might think! Below is more information about the health benefits of eating pork.

➡️ What is pulled pork? ❓

Did You Know That?

“Pulled pork is an American barbecue dish, more specifically a dish of the Southern U.S., based on shredded barbecued pork shoulder. It is typically slow-smoked over wood; indoor variations use a slow cooker. The meat is then shredded manually and mixed with a sauce. It may be served on bread or eaten on its own.”

Healthy Diet -Did You Know the Health Benefits?

“Though you may have heard it called “the other white meat,” pork is considered red meat. It’s consumed worldwide, though it is against the laws of some religions — including Islam and Judaism — to eat pork.
Like red meat, pork has a reputation for being unhealthy. However, it is a good source of certain nutrients, as well as high-quality protein. Consumed in moderation, it can make a good addition to a healthy diet. “

If you think you’ve been making the best pulled pork, quite a few Food Network reviewers may disagree with you.

Based on home cooks’ glowing reviews of Alton Brown’s pulled pork recipe, you might want to give his slow-cooked marvel a try the next time you make this dish.

The Good Eats host’s pulled pork doesn’t call for a great deal of ingredients. Still, it’s a good idea to have them ready to go for this slow-cooking dish.

You’ll need to have on hand the brine: molasses, pickling salt, bottled water, and a six-to-eight-pound pork butt. The rub that’s going to infuse the dish with all that flavor is perfectly balanced. You’ll need whole cumin seed, whole fennel seed, whole coriander, chili powder, onion powder, and paprika.

Pulled pork is DELICIOUS, no doubt about it. But no matter how you’re making it, it can take a looooonnngg time. Even our absolute easiest way to make pulled pork takes 10-14 hours on a grill! So when we set our sights on turning pork shoulder into soft, shredded goodness, we’re making enough for leftovers.

Pulled pork will keep for up to 5 days in the refrigerator and up to 6 months in the freezer, meaning when the craving for BBQ hits, we can be ready. Check out our list of 18 leftover pulled pork recipes—we know what you’ll be having for dinner this week!

First things first, you’re going to have to make the best pulled pork you can if you want it to stay juicy and flavorful for your leftovers meal. Our oven-roasted pulled pork is the easiest (no need for any additional equipment, anyway), and creates those delicious burnt ends where the fat and sauce ingredients have caramelized.

The other two options are to make our Instant Pot pulled pork in your pressure cooker or our slow-cooker pulled pork (check out our best slow-cookers if you’re in the market for a new one). What we love about these is that you can set them and forget them, at least for a while—the slow cooker option cooks for 5-10 hours versus an hour in the Instant Pot.
