Boiled potatoes are some of the most common side dish recipes. Cooking boiled potatoes is very easy, so there are not many recipes available for this food. Still, beginner home chefs could find useful a boiled potatoes recipe.
I share with you on this page a boiled potatoes recipe that I like very much and, therefore, I use pretty often. Basically, it consists of combining boiled potatoes with butter and fresh greenery. Both of them match very well the potatoes’ taste and make together a very delicious side dish that can be served along with roasted pork, grilled chicken, beef schnitzel, and so forth.
As I mentioned, this recipe is very simple, so there aren’t many tips to share about getting the best results. There are still two things that I’ll underline.
The first is to peel the potatoes and combine them with the other ingredients while they are still warm. This is important because there is necessary heat to melt the butter and this coats the potatoes all over.
Second, I recommend chopping the greenery very fine, it will stick to the buttered potatoes and no one wants to feel large greenery pieces in the mouth. The amount of used greenery depends entirely on your taste, as well as the greenery type. I use for the recipe dill and parsley most often, but also coriander and even fresh basil leaves, depending on the main dish that I serve at the table.
Also, I mention that this recipe can be prepared with any potato type, but the bests are white potatoes which are especially recommended for boiling and baking.
As already wrote before, boiled potatoes are primarily served as a side dish. Still, you can prepare and eat this boiled potato recipe if you’re on diet and want to enjoy a lighter but still nourishing lunch or dinner.

This is a list of potato dishes that use potatoes as the main ingredient. The potato is a starchy, tuberous crop. It is the world’s fourth-largest food crop, following rice, wheat, and maize. The annual diet of an average global citizen in the first decade of the 21st century included about 33 kg (73 lb) of potato. The potato was first domesticated by the Andean civilizations in the region of modern-day southern Peru and extreme northwestern Bolivia between 8000 and 5000 BCE. It has since spread around the world and become a staple crop in many countries.List of potato dishes (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_potato_dishes)
