Crispy Fried Chicken Wings without Breadcrumbs

Crispy fried chicken wings are a classic dish that can be enjoyed in many different ways. Whether you like them with a spicy buffalo sauce or simply seasoned with salt and pepper, there's nothing quite like biting into a perfectly crispy wing. But did you know that you can achieve that crispy texture without using breadcrumbs?
In this recipe, the crispy texture is achieved through a combination of eggs and flour, which creates a light and airy coating that crisps up beautifully when fried. This coating also allows the flavors of any seasoning or sauce you add to the wings to really shine through, making for a flavorful and satisfying meal.
One of the benefits of this recipe is that it's a versatile recipe that can be adapted to suit any taste. You can add a variety of spices or seasonings to the coating mix to give the wings a unique flavor profile, or you can serve them up with a variety of dipping sauces to suit your mood.
When it comes to cooking these wings, there are a few key tips to keep in mind to ensure that they turn out perfectly. Firstly, make sure your oil is hot enough before adding the wings. This will help the coating crisp up quickly and prevent the wings from becoming greasy. It's also important to shake off any excess coating before frying, as this can cause the coating to clump together and become soggy.
Another tip is to use a wire rack to drain the wings after frying. This will help any excess oil drip off, resulting in a crispier wing. Finally, it's important to season the wings immediately after they come out of the oil, while they're still hot and crispy. This will ensure that the seasoning sticks to the coating and adds an extra layer of flavor to the wings.
Crispy fried chicken wings without breadcrumbs are a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed by anyone, regardless of dietary restrictions. With a light and airy coating that crisps up perfectly when fried, these wings are a hit that can be customized to suit any taste. So whether you're cooking up a batch for game day or a family dinner, be sure to keep these tips in mind to ensure that your wings turn out perfectly every time.

Notes

Cooking Tips:
  1. Make sure the oil is hot enough: When frying chicken wings, it’s important to make sure that the oil is hot enough before adding the wings. This will help the coating crisp up quickly and prevent the wings from becoming greasy. You can test the temperature of the oil by dropping a small piece of the coating mixture into the oil – it should sizzle and immediately rise to the surface.
  2. Shake off excess coating: Before frying the wings, be sure to shake off any excess coating. This will help prevent the coating from clumping together and becoming soggy. It’s also a good idea to let the coated wings sit for a few minutes before frying to allow the coating to adhere to the chicken better.
  3. Use a wire rack to drain the wings: Once the wings are done frying, use a wire rack to drain them. This will help any excess oil drip off, resulting in a crispier wing. Place the wire rack over a baking sheet to catch any oil that drips off.
  4. Season immediately after frying: As soon as the wings come out of the oil, you can season them additionally with your desired spices or seasonings. The hot wings will absorb the flavor more effectively, resulting in a more flavorful wing.
  5. Serve immediately: Crispy fried chicken wings are best served hot and fresh out of the fryer. If you’re making a large batch, keep them warm in the oven at a low temperature until you’re ready to serve. Avoid covering them with foil, as this can cause them to become soggy.

➡️ The crispy fried chicken wings recipe shared on this page presents a step-by-step cooking method by which you can easily prepare chicken wings schnitzel without breadcrumbs or the so-called Parisian chicken wings schnitzel. These fried chicken wings are very tasty because the meat is tender and the crust is crispy and fluffy.

➡️ When making Parisian schnitzel, many people complain that the crust is not crispy but soft and sticky. Attention! Don’t cover the dish where you store the schnitzel after you take it out from the pan because the crust will soften due to the steam!

➡️ Another important cooking tip is to fry any chicken schnitzel over medium heat to allow frying even the thicker parts of the meat. If the temperature is too high the meat will remain raw inside, if it’s too low the crust will combine with oil and will soften. It’s also very important to drain excess oil when taking the schnitzel out from the pan to avoid softening the crispy crust.

➡️ A wide range of dishes can be served with fried chicken wings, but they can be eaten just with a fresh vegetable salad or pickles. Also, they can be dipped in various sauces of your choice.
