5) cover the dish with food foil and place it in the fridge for at least 1-2 hours to marinate the pork (recommended)

7) roast the pork kabobs on the coal grill or in the oven, and flip them several times on all sides to roast evenly
8) pork skewers are ready when are golden brown on all sides
9) serve the pork kabobs while they’re still warm to enjoy them at best

What is a skewer?

➡️ A skewer is a thin metal or wood stick that is used to hold food together. As in “chicken skewers,” the term is sometimes used as a generic term to refer to the entire culinary item presented on a skewer. Skewers are used to grill or roast meats and seafood, as well as in other culinary applications.
Brochette is an English translation of the French term for skewer. En brochette means “on a skewer” in French and refers to the shape of a dish or the method of cooking and serving food on skewers, particularly grilled meat or shellfish. Skewers are frequently used in various kebab recipes.

What are the best cuts for pork skewers?

➡️ Pork neck (known also as pork butt or pork collar) and pork shoulder are considered the best cuts to make pork skewers because have the juiciest meat and enough fat that melts during grilling and keeps the meat juicy. Yet, other pork cuts can be used for skewers even if they are drier, including pork tenderloin and pork loin.

What is grilling?

➡️ Grilling is a fantastic method to cook nutritious and delicious foods. It can help you cut calories and may even aid in weight loss. While grilling does not completely eliminate fat from meat, it makes extra fat to melt and drain from the racks. This is way healthier compared to other techniques of cooking that allow the meat to cook in its own fat, which can then be reabsorbed. Grilling also helps food retain more vitamins and minerals and seals in moisture, resulting in a luscious dinner with no additional fats.

PRO Tips For The Pork Kebab Marinade Recipe with Tomatoes

➡️ Kabobs are some of the most preferred pork recipes in many countries including the United States, Australia, and South Africa, to name but a few of them.

➡️ My pork kebabs with tomatoes are based on a marinated pork skewer recipe. Anyone can prepare it since the kabobs recipe is very easy to make and requires just a few ingredients that you can find everywhere.

➡️ People who don’t like thyme can replace it with rosemary, sage, or another aromatic plant to taste. Also, the marinade can be flavored with more spices such as cumin powder, ginger powder, hot chili pepper powder, and so on.

➡️ Skewers with pork neck are very juicy because this type of pork cut has fat that melts during grilling and keeps meat tender. The added roasted tomato flavor makes pork kabobs irresistibly tasty!

➡️ Pork kabobs should be served while still warm to enjoy the savory juice from inside. After cooling, the meat is hard and dry. You can serve pork skewers plain or along with some fresh vegetable salad or side dishes such as mashed potatoes, French fries, boiled rice, and so on.
