Cooking Tips for the Best Results:

  1. Allow the ribs to come to room temperature before cooking: This will ensure that the meat cooks evenly throughout and prevents the outside from becoming overcooked before the inside is fully cooked.
  2. Use a meat thermometer: To ensure that the pork is cooked through, use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. The USDA recommends cooking pork to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  3. Rest the meat before serving: After cooking the ribs, let them rest for a few minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a more tender and flavorful end result.
  4. Don’t overcrowd the pan: When pan-frying the pork ribs, be sure to leave enough space in the pan so that the ribs are not crowded together. This allows for even browning and ensures that the ribs cook through evenly.
  5. Adjust the cooking time based on the thickness of the ribs: Thicker pork ribs will take longer to cook than thinner ones. Adjust the cooking time accordingly to ensure that the ribs are fully cooked and tender.

Final Notes for the Pan-Fried Ribs Recipe

➡️ Below are a couple of additional suggestions when using my recipe for pan-fried ribs:

  • use a pan with a lid for this recipe to reduce cooking time and avoid splashing with hot oil while frying the ribs.
  • remove excess fat from the baby back ribs if necessary and cut them into smaller pieces that fit into your pan.
  • simmer the ribs at a medium-low temperature to give them time to soften very well.
  • use a quantity of garlic that suits your tastes, I use at least 5-6 cloves of garlic to feel good this aroma in the meat.
  • for frying the ribs, use a neutral flavoring oil or you can even use pork lard if you have something like that available.
  • fry the pork ribs at a medium temperature until they turn golden brown on both sides.
