3) 250 g/9 oz of all-purpose flour

6) 300-500 ml/10-17 fl oz of sunflower oil for frying

Homemade Chicken Strips

Step 1: cut the chicken breast into strips of 1-2 fingers wideness
Step 2: season with salt and pepper to taste
Step 3: rub the meat to get the spices better inside
Step 4: coat the chicken strips with flour
Step 5: coat the chicken strips with beaten egg
Step 6: coat the chicken strips with breadcrumbs
Step 7: pour oil into the pan and wait for it to heat up
Step 8: put the chicken strips in the pan and fry them for 3-4 minutes over medium temperature
Step 9: flip the chicken fingers and fry them for 2-3 minutes more
Step 10: take the chicken fingers out of the pan and drain the oil well

On this webpage, I share a very easy homemade chicken strips recipe. The recipe is very similar to the Wienerschnitzel (see below). This is cooked, simply said, by frying the meat into vegetable oil or fat at a very high temperature after it has been coated with flour, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs.

Despite its simplicity, homemade chicken strips are extremely delicious and I consider this recipe one of the best ways to cook boneless chicken breast. The outer coating is crispy and the chicken breast inside is tender and juicy due to the high temperature at which the meat is fried. Given that the chicken breast is cut into strips it makes the chicken breast even more fragile compared to a classic chicken breast schnitzel.

Chicken fingers were primarily made as a fast-food snack, but they can be served as a main dish as well. Breaded chicken strips are usually accompanied by a dipping sauce like ketchup, mustard, garlic sauce, and so on. They are even better when coming along with French fries – this combination is a real silhouette killer because you can’t stop eating!

Another combination of homemade chicken strips, which I really like, is with cheese sauce topping. For sure, you should try this food one day!
