Roasted Pepper Salad with Vinegar - Easy Bell Pepper Salad Recipe

1) bake or roast bell peppers on coal, stovetop, or in the oven, then wait to cool and peel them off
2) put roasted peppers into a higher salad bowl
3) pour cold water into a cup, then add some salt, sugar, and apple cider vinegar to taste
4) mix dressing ingredients well, then pour it over peppers
5) wait at least 1 hour before serving salad to combine flavors better

Roasted bell pepper salad recipe with vinegar isn’t one of the most popular salad recipes in the United States. This salad is more common in some Central and Eastern European countries such as Hungary, but nowadays it’s becoming more and more known all throughout the world.

This roasted or baked bell pepper salad recipe is very easy to prepare. It requires few ingredients and a short preparation time. That’s why it’s one of my favorite recipes and I often prepare it especially in the summertime when bell peppers are abundant and sweet from natural ripening.

Peppers can be roasted on the coal grill, on the stove, or baked in the oven. I prefer to cook them on the coal whenever I have the opportunity because the salad will have a slightly smoked taste.

Those who don’t like the smoked taste cane bake peppers in the oven.

The taste of this salad is sweet and sour. The dressing can be modified according to your personal taste, respectively it can be sweeter or less sour, depending on the amount of sugar and vinegar added.

This salad is usually prepared in the summer and beginning of fall when the bell pepper can be easily found on the market. However, I prepare this pepper salad during winter as well because I roast peppers and keep them in the freezer ready to use with the skin already peeled off.

Salad made with frozen baked peppers is as good as that prepared with freshly roasted peppers. In addition, salad preparation requires even less time!

Bell pepper salad recipe is usually served near a roast. It’s very good along with other foods as well such as chicken rice pilaf, a combination that I simply adore!

Of course, you can serve bell pepper salad along with other dishes you consider appropriate.
