Canned Pineapple Slices

1) 40 g/1.4 oz of vanilla pudding (1 sachet)
2) 4 tbsp of granulated sugar for the custard and 100 g/3.5 oz for the sponge cake
3) 350 ml/12 fl oz of cow milk
4) 5 eggs
5) 5 tbsp of sunflower oil or another neutral vegetable oil
6) 10 g/0.35 oz of baking powder
7) 2 oranges
8) 200 g/7 oz of cake flour
9) 100 g/3.5 oz of powdered sugar
10) 150 g/5.5 oz of butter
11) 200 g/7 oz of canned pineapple
12) 250 ml/8.5 fl oz of whipped cream

Rolled Pineapple Cake

Step 1: do place in a saucepan vanilla pudding and 4 tbsp of sugar
Step 2: do add the cold milk gradually while stirring
Step 3: boil the pudding until creamy
Step 4: cover the pudding with foil and wait to cool
Step 5: do add over egg yolks the rest of the granulated sugar and whip with mixer
Step 6: do add oil and mix ingredients
Step 7: do add baking powder and zest from an orange
Step 8: do add 5 tbsp of hot water and mix ingredients
Step 9: do add flour and mix ingredients
Step 10: whip egg whites in a separate bowl until hard
Step 11: do add egg white to the first bowl gradually while mixing manually
Step 12: spread the dough on a baking paper-lined tray
Step 13: bake the dough in the preheated oven at 280 C/535 F for 3-5 minutes or until slightly golden
Step 14: wait for 5 minutes, then detach the cake from the paper gently
Step 15: roll tightly the cake together with the paper and wait to cool
Step 16: do remove foil from the pudding and mix until creamy
Step 17: do add powdered sugar and mix
Step 18: do add butter at room temperature and mix
Step 19: do add chopped pineapple and mix by hand
Step 20: remove the paper from the cake
Step 21: spread the custard over the cake in a layer
Step 22: roll the cake tightly
Step 23: do place the pineapple cake on a serving platter
Step 24: remove the cake ends
Step 25: coat the pineapple cake with whipped cream all over
Step 26: garnish the whipped cream as desired
Step 27: top the pineapple birthday cake with thin orange slices (optional)

There are many types of pineapple cakes and the one that I share on this page is extremely delicious and good-looking, so you can use it as a birthday cake.

The rolled pineapple cake, known as a pineapple Swiss roll, has an old-fashioned aura and is considered by some people outdated. I don’t know where this perception comes from because the rolled pineapple cake recipe is very tasty and has an exceptional look.
