Gourmet BBQ Grilled Pork
Ingredients
- 4 pork steaks, bone-in (approximately 1 inch thick)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp dried rosemary
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the BBQ grill to medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried rosemary, salt, and black pepper to make the spice rub.
- Pat the pork steaks dry with paper towels and rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the steaks.
- Place the pork steaks on the grill and cook for 7-8 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Remove the pork steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve the pork steaks with a side salad or some roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
Notes
- Make sure the pork steaks are at room temperature before grilling to ensure even cooking.
- Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the pork steaks to avoid overcooking or undercooking.
- Avoid piercing the pork steaks with a fork or knife while grilling as this can cause the juices to escape, leading to dry and tough meat.
- Let the pork steaks rest for 5-10 minutes after grilling to allow the juices to redistribute and ensure a tender and juicy texture.
- If using a charcoal grill, wait until the coals turn white and ashy before placing the pork steaks on the grill for optimal cooking temperature.
