1) remove excessive fat from the pork shoulder if necessary, then dice it and place it into a pot (you can use lean fresh pork ham as well, without skin and fat)
2) peel onions off, chop and place them into the pot
3) chop tomatoes and add them to the pot
4) remove seeds and stubs from the bell peppers, cut them into thin strips, and add them to the pot
5) season ingredients with some salt and ground black pepper to taste
6) pour some sunflower oil into the pot (necessary only when the meat is very lean), then fill the pot up with lukewarm water
7) place the pot on the stove over a medium temperature and boil ingredients until the meat is soft (about 30 minutes)
8) reduce temperature, add rice to the pot, and boil ingredients until the rice is soft (about 15 minutes)

An extremely important thing is not to serve the pilaf as soon as you stop the fire. It is crucial to cover the pot with the lid and wait about 15 minutes. This is very important because steam accumulates under the lid and they make the rice become very fluffy.
