What ingredients do you need for oven-baked mackerel with tomatoes?

Fresh Mackerel

1) 1 kg/35 oz of whole mackerel
2) 1000 ml/34 fl oz of tomato sauce
3) salt and peppercorn or ground pepper to taste
4) garlic to taste
5) fresh dill, chopped

How to cook oven-baked mackerel with tomatoes from scratch?

Oven-Baked Mackerel with Tomato Sauce

1) remove fins, tail, head, and intestines from the whole mackerel
2) put fish in a tray with the belly down
3) prepare tomato sauce at home or use some bought sauce from the store
4) season mackerel with salt and pepper to taste
5) add garlic rounds to taste
6) add chopped dill
7) pour the tomato sauce into the tray
8) put the tray in the oven and bake the fish at 170 C/340 F for about 25 minutes or until the gravy drops
9) turn the heat off and leave the tray in the oven for 10-15 minutes before serving (recommended)
